Unknown.jpeg

At Restaurant Media Group I have experienced many roles that have taught me vital skills for not only digital marketing but for running a business. As a solo photographer going out on shoot learned about coordinating shoot plans, art direction, communicating with various clients, and sharing a vision. As a photographer I make sure I reach each of the 10 restaurants to make sure their individual personalities stand out. I am not just there to take photos of food I am there to capture an experience through each frame I take. As photographer I am also in charge of postproduction. Tasks include editing a 500 picture shoot to only 90 frames within 24 hours. With this I have earned the skills of understanding how to edit food, choosing the marketable images, and quick turn around time. As a Social Media Manager I work under pressure, and create content for quick deadlines. In this position I help manage up to 10 different restaurants accounts creating ads, campaigns, posts, stories, and video content. I also help onboard new employees through training, and strategizing how we can streamlining creating content for each account. Each month we are able to get each restaurant to grace 30,000+ eyes. Moving forward I am in charge of strategizing incorporating Tik Tok and Instagram Reels to increase engagement for restaurants. I follow trends closely to see how we can adapt them to fit a restaurant's brand for maximum engagement.

At Iventel I was a Production Coordinator for Product Film shoots. In this role I was in charge of making sure the shoots would run smoothly through planning and coordinating. Various tasks I was in charge of were researching products for producers, finding actors, gathering props, coordinating crew members, strategizing the shoot schedule to optimize time, and administration work. This role improved my skills of problem-solving under pressure, communication skills, multi-tasking, and being adaptable to what role was needed at any given time.

As a Tik Tok Coordinator for a small vodka brand I had to figure out a way to make the brand relatable without seeming to be too commercial. Social media is quickly switching from high quality visually unobtainable videos thriving to actually focusing on the content within the video, This was a challenge due to the main demographic being underage for alcohol. I had to find a way to curate content so it reaches the correct audiences on Tik Tok. Through researching other alcohol brands, influencers, and trends I was able to find the perfect niche algorithm for this company. I was able to make sure we were following and engaging with other influencers who were involved with food, drink, and bartending. My tasks for this role were to research trends, plan, edit, and film Tik Toks. The other side was engaging with related accounts, collaborating with influencers, managing analytics, and creating campaigns that aligned with the other platforms. Some Campaigns included making drinks inspired by albums, drinks your zodiac sign would drink, and holiday packages. Our most notable campaign was with @PourPerry which was a series of him making cocktails with our vodka. Ultimately I was wale to take the brand from 0 to over 600k+ views on their brand.

As a Production and Camera Assistant I had many roles on a small shoot. As Production Assistant I helped the director create shot-lists for a 7 day shoot, assisted with gathering actors, communicated with the hotel staff, and catered to the director’s needs. This taught me a lot about preproduction organization, communication skills with multiple departments, being flexible, and ready to problem-solve. On the Camera Assistant side I was in charge of setting up the sets to be visually appealing, carrying camera equipment, placing actors in scenes, and helping to frame shots. Overall, I learned a lot about organizing a shoot, and how to be adaptable to a shoot’s needs.

Many of the skills I have acquired in regards to customer service, and working hard has stemmed from running my own freelance business. As a Photographer and Filmmaker I have had the privilege of working with all types of clients. It started out as scheduling graduation shoots, to then birthdays, and other events. Moving forward I was able to work with bigger clients. Some organizations I have worked with are Move Over Breast Cancer, Phi Sigma Sigma, Paul Miller Porsche, and more. This position has taught me the importance of communication to execute exactly what a client is looking for. I have also learned how important the art of storytelling is when it comes to making content for Social Media.

Michael J. Fox Foundation

Video Production Team

In the summer of 2017, I was able to intern at the Michael J. Fox Foundation. I was interested in this organization because it supports finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease. As a video production intern, I edited the stories people told about their experience with Parkinson’s and also created promos that included the CEO and Michael J. Fox.  One highlight of my internship was when we live streamed with Jimmy Cho on American Ninja Warriors.  On the set I tested the shoot, created b-rolls for cutaways, and sat people for the audience.  The live stream was a huge success, setting a viewership record for the foundation.  Working for the foundation taught me to work within time constraints, flexibility, and managing several projects at the same time.

As an avid follower of social media, I had the wonderful opportunity to intern at Sony Music Entertainment. I came to their division Columbia Records, taking a position as an intern in the digital media-marketing department. My knowledge of filming and editing proved to be very beneficial. While I worked on many exciting projects, I was most proud to work on the Song of the Year for 2016, Closer by The Chainsmokers. I helped promote the song by creating small videos that went on social media. Another campaign I was proud to work on was Tony Bennett’s 90th Birthday by creating videos and Tweets. One of the challenges as an intern was to promote a new artist’s song by contacting sororities and asking them to use the song in their recruitment videos. After failing to receive any responses, I took the liberty of trying a different approach. After receiving approval from my supervisors I executed my idea that proved to be successful! Working at Columbia taught me valuable skills: working under pressure, collaborating, networking, and how to have voice in a big corporation.
